Meijer seeks construction partners for upcoming projects across six states

Meijer has announced an open call for new construction services companies to participate in its upcoming projects for 2025 and 2026. The application period runs from November 1 to November 30. Companies interested in this opportunity must be able to operate within Meijer's six-state area, which includes Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Kentucky. Specialties required include earthwork, landscaping, paving, concrete, roofing, floor painting, metal stud/drywall, fixturing, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical work, traffic signals and other general skilled trades.

A virtual information session is scheduled for November 13. It will offer more details about the opportunity and qualifications needed. A Q&A portion will also be available.

Carla Hendon, Director of Supplier Inclusion & Indirect Procurement at Meijer stated: "We are dedicated to cultivating a supplier base that reflects our current and future needs." She emphasized the significance of this open call as a chance for companies across multiple trades to collaborate with Meijer.

Applications submitted by potential suppliers will undergo review by Meijer to ensure they meet the necessary qualifications. Suppliers that are accepted will be informed and included in communications about future project opportunities.
