The Village of Homer Glen has announced that Stage 3 of the Bell Road Widening Project will commence during the week of December 16.
According to the announcement, crews will begin installing noise walls along the west side of the County Right of Way (ROW) during this period. Residents are advised that Meadowview Lane and Woodland Drive may be temporarily closed due to paving operations. However, both streets will remain open throughout the winter months.
At the intersection of 143rd Street and Bell Road, ComEd has completed relocation work at both ends of these streets. Crews are expected to enter the intersection on either Tuesday, December 17, or Wednesday, December 18. The relocation work is anticipated to take between one to one and a half weeks to complete.
Residents should expect changes in traffic patterns during this period and are advised to plan accordingly. The Village reminds everyone to stay alert and follow all work zone speed limits and signage to ensure safety.
