Youth volleyball registration opens; seeking players and coaches

Rec volleyball registration is now open and will remain available until January 26. The program welcomes boys and girls from 1st through 8th grade, regardless of skill level, as there are no tryouts required.

The program also seeks volunteer coaches at all levels to help ensure a successful season. "Coaches are also needed at all levels, and we appreciate your support to ensure a successful season!"

A few reminders for participants include the Rookie program for 1st and 2nd graders, which will focus on passing, serving, and gameplay. This program meets once a week from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Teams across all levels are coed. Parents who volunteer as coaches can receive a participation fee gift card. Teammate requests for grades 3rd-8th will only be guaranteed for those volunteers choosing to coach together.

Evaluations for the divisions between grades 3rd-8th are scheduled for early February to create balanced teams. Practices will start in late February, with games running from March through April's end.
