Meijer has announced the opening of three new supercenters in Northeast Ohio, scheduled for May 8. This expansion will bring the retailer's total number of stores in Ohio to 58. The new locations, each spanning 159,000 square feet, are situated in Austintown, Medina, and Richmond Heights.
The supercenters will offer a variety of products including fresh produce, bakery items, meat, seafood, and deli departments. They will also feature a floral area, garden center, apparel and home goods sections. Additional amenities include a full-service pharmacy and sections for health and beauty care, pets, electronics, toys, and sporting goods. A Meijer Express gas station is set to open on April 10 next to the Austintown store.
"We're investing heavily to serve the Northeast Ohio community and consistently receiving positive feedback about our value and convenience," stated Todd Anderson, Vice President of the Ohio Region for Meijer. "Ohio was the first state we expanded to outside of Michigan, and we look forward to continuing that growth this year and into the future."
Job opportunities remain available at these new locations with both part- and full-time positions open. Candidates interested in joining Meijer's team can apply online.
Currently employing over 13,000 people across its stores as well as distribution and manufacturing facilities in Tipp City, Meijer continues its commitment to investment in Ohio through new openings and store renovations.
