Volunteer registration for the 2025 Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give is now open, with tournament organizers seeking over 1,400 volunteers to support the event in West Michigan from June 9-15, 2025. Interested individuals can register at meijerlpgaclassic.com.
Cathy Cooper, Executive Director of the Meijer LPGA Classic, stated, "The heart of the Meijer LPGA Classic is our incredible team of volunteers who bring it to life, and we invite the community to be part of something truly special at this year's event." She noted that volunteer numbers have grown since their first year when they had close to 700 volunteers.
Volunteers are required to pay a $30 fee which includes two official tournament golf shirts (with two or more shifts) or one shirt (with one shift), an official hat or visor, an exclusive pin, four week-long general admission grounds passes, a parking pass, and complimentary meals and beverages during scheduled shifts.
The tournament offers various volunteer roles such as Walking Scorers, Hole Marshals, Discovery Land support staff, and Hospitality attendants. A "General Volunteer" position is also available for those without specific preferences. Volunteers are encouraged to register early as positions fill on a first-come basis.
Cooper added, "Whether you're a lifelong golf fan or just looking to make a difference in your community, we're excited to partner with the LPGA in bringing this one-of-a-kind experience that also serves a greater purpose in feeding our neighbors in need."
Since its inception in 2014, the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give has raised over $12 million for food pantries across the Midwest. The event supports local food pantries through Meijer's Simply Give hunger relief program.
