Meijer has expanded its presence in Northeast Ohio with the opening of three new supercenters in Austintown, Medina, and Richmond Heights. Each store spans 159,000 square feet and offers a variety of shopping options aimed at providing value and convenience to customers.

The stores are equipped with an extensive selection of fresh produce, deli items, meat departments, full-service pharmacies, and general merchandise sections that include baby products, pet supplies, apparel, beauty care items, floral arrangements, and garden centers. The new locations also incorporate digital shopping solutions such as Shop & Scan through the Meijer mobile app for a more efficient checkout process.

"As a family company that's been serving Midwest customers for 90 years, we are humbled to be able to continue bringing our unique shopping experience to more communities," Executive Chairman Hank Meijer stated. "Meijer invests in the communities we serve, and we look forward to partnering with local organizations and helping to strengthen each of these communities."

Since its first Ohio store opened in 1981, Meijer has invested significantly in the region by developing nearly 25 stores. This expansion has created jobs while supporting local nonprofits. The company employs over 12,000 people across its Ohio locations.

"Our three new store teams are already working hard to deliver value and convenience to our customers," said Rick Keyes, Meijer President & CEO. "We are confident Austintown, Medina, and Richmond Heights customers are going to love having Meijer be part of their community."

In conjunction with the store openings, Meijer made $90,000 in donations to various local organizations across the three communities. These contributions reflect the company's commitment to giving back at least six percent of its net profit annually.

Meijer's Simply Give program continues its mission against hunger by partnering with local food pantries. Since 2008, this initiative has raised over $100 million for food pantry partners throughout the Midwest.

The newly opened supercenters also feature amenities designed for accessibility including larger height-adjustable changing tables in family restrooms and free access to Aira—a service offering live navigation assistance for blind or low-vision customers.

About Meijer: As a privately owned retailer operating over 500 locations across the Midwest region including supercenters and grocery stores—Meijer's focus remains on delivering quality products along with excellent customer service both online and offline.
