Life at Victorian Village keeps residents engaged and active

For Joan, life at Victorian Village is marked by constant activity. "There's always a lot going on here," she remarks about the community that has become a home for her and her husband over the past year.

Joan's roots are near 47th and Pulaski, where she built a life centered around family. Upon moving to Victorian Village, her husband was initially in another location but later joined her because he required something only available there. Being together again brought them comfort, with Joan visiting him in Memory Care until she also transitioned there.

Both now embrace the daily rhythm at Victorian Village, where various activities and social opportunities keep them engaged. "They keep you very busy," Joan notes. Participating in events, spending time with other residents, or simply being part of a welcoming environment helps them feel connected and cared for.

Her husband stays active through therapy with Symbria, focusing on maintaining strength and mobility with support from the staff.
