Corin Miller, with over two decades of experience in healthcare, has devoted her career to assisting seniors. Currently serving as the Community Coordinator at Victorian Village, she is known for her warmth and dedication.
Miller's journey with Providence Life Services began five years ago at Village Woods. When that facility closed, she moved to Park Place of St. John as a unit clerk. The role of Community Coordinator at Victorian Village in Homer Glen became available, and Miller found it to be an ideal fit. “I’ve been here for about eight months now, and I love it,” she stated.
Originally from Florida, Miller relocated to Illinois ten years ago and now resides in Tinley Park. She remarked on the sense of community: “This community feels like family,” adding that both residents and coworkers contribute to making the place special.
Her passion for working with seniors is evident. “The residents are 110% my favorite part of the job,” she said. She enjoys listening to their stories and offering assistance wherever possible. Her duties include handling morning reports, billing, and supporting marketing efforts; however, spending time with residents brings her the most joy.
Miller's commitment to senior living has deep roots. Her career began as a CNA in Florida before continuing as a caregiver in Indiana prior to joining Providence Life Services. Reflecting on her career path, she commented: “I’ve always been in healthcare... It’s incredibly rewarding to make a difference in people’s lives.”
Outside work, Miller enjoys conversations with her two grown sons who live in New York and is preparing for her upcoming wedding in Florida.
Ultimately, Miller views her work as being centered around people rather than tasks alone: “I’ve learned so much from the residents here... They’ve lived incredible lives.”
