Homer Township Public Library has announced the availability of nominating petitions for individuals interested in running in the April 1, 2025 Consolidated General Election. The election will include nominations for three library trustees with four-year terms and two library trustees with two-year unexpired terms.
The necessary forms and petitions can be obtained during business hours starting August 20, 2024, at the Homer Township Public Library located at 14320 W. 151st Street, Homer Glen, IL. The Business Manager is available to answer questions from Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. by calling 708-745-9270.
Petitions can be filed beginning Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., continuing on November 13th, 14th, and 15th during the same hours. The final day to submit petitions is Monday, November 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., after which no submissions will be accepted.
Ballot positions are determined by the time of receipt of petitions. If multiple petitions are submitted simultaneously either by mail or in person, a lottery will take place at Homer Township Public Library at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, to establish ballot order.
