Construction continues on Bell Road in two major sections, with ongoing efforts to address utility conflicts and roadway improvements.
Between 159th Street and 151st Street, “D” Construction, Inc. is handling pavement reconstruction and widening along with realignment. The contract for this section is scheduled to be completed by July 30, 2025, with an additional ten working days allowed. According to project updates, various utility conflicts on the west side of Bell Road have either been resolved or a plan has been developed to avoid interference during noise wall foundation drilling. Other current work includes excavation and hauling of roadway aggregate as part of base preparations on the west side.
At the intersection of Bell Road and 143rd Street, “D” Construction, Inc. is also leading a project focused on intersection widening and improvements, including upgraded traffic signals. The contract completion date for this section is November 5, 2027, plus fifteen working days. Most preliminary work is taking place on the east side of Bell Road. Activities so far include placing drainage structures, with installation of a temporary traffic signal set as the next step.
These projects are part of broader infrastructure improvements aimed at enhancing traffic flow and safety in the area.
