Nathan Wolf has been named the new Executive Director of Park Place of St. John, bringing more than 20 years of experience in senior living to the role. Wolf, who began his career as a social services assistant while in college, has held various positions in the industry including social services director, assistant administrator, executive director, and a vice president overseeing operations across six states.
"I’ve worn a lot of hats in this industry," Wolf said. "But I’ve always believed that leadership means being hands-on. You have to walk the walk. I want to be on the floor supporting the team."
Wolf emphasizes transparency and accountability in his leadership style and is focused on fostering a culture of mutual respect among staff members. "We’re all caregivers, regardless of our title. If you’re walking past a call light or a piece of trash on the floor, it’s your responsibility. It’s about pride in what we do," he said.
A key priority for Wolf is staff development and ensuring managers are supported and understand their goals. "I’m assessing who’s in the right seat on the bus," he explained. "That means making sure every manager understands their goals, feels supported, and has a clear vision for the future."
Wolf's immediate objectives include stabilizing census numbers at Park Place of St. John, addressing departmental cost overruns, and increasing awareness about Park Place’s services such as its new Memory Care program and transition to private pay.
"This building has always had a stellar reputation. I want to maintain that legacy while also modernizing our approach. We sit on a campus with room to grow, and that growth starts with investing in our people," Wolf stated.
Outside work, Wolf enjoys outdoor activities and home projects like woodworking and restoring arcade games with his daughter.
He encourages open communication within Park Place: "I want this to be a safe space—judgment-free and solution-oriented. Whether it’s a question, a complaint, or just a chat, come talk to me. We’re in this together."
