Meijer has announced it will lower prices by up to 50% on a range of grocery items often used for back-to-school breakfasts and lunches. The promotion, which runs through September 30, includes products such as instant oatmeal, peanut butter, jelly, bread, cereal, fruit snacks, granola bars, and more.

"Costs add up quickly as parents adjust their grocery list for the school season, so we're stepping up to help families save money on every meal to help fuel kids' learning," said Calli Schmid, Vice President of Grocery for Meijer. "As a family-owned company, we know the first month of school can be a tough time for both kids and parents. So, just like we helped families celebrate summer with great deals, we're doing the same for back to school."

Discounted items include Meijer Instant Oatmeal (10-pack) at $1.79; Meijer Complete Pancake Mix at $1.79; Meijer Syrup at $1.79; Meijer White or Whole Wheat Split-Top Bread at $1.39; Meijer Creamy or Crunchy Peanut Butter (16 oz.) at $1.39; Meijer Strawberry Preserves (18 oz.) at $1.39; Meijer Yogurt Tubes (8-count) at $1.49; Meijer Granola Bars (6 count) at $1.79; Meijer Chicken Nuggets or Chicken Fries at $4.49; and Meijer Shells n' Cheese (8-count) at $5.49.

Customers can also use mPerks—Meijer's digital rewards program—to earn points on purchases that can be redeemed for in-store coupons or discounts on fuel at Meijer Express gas stations. The app also features personalized offers based on shopping habits and lists all promotional items online.

Meijer operates over 500 stores across the Midwest and employs more than 70,000 people in its supercenters and other retail locations. The company donates a portion of its profits each year to support local communities and is recognized as a leading employer in the region.
